why this dud and not the new single!!.5.09pm on Spooney.O.k. he just raved about Prince "it stops and starts with Prince" and some other nice words.

This wasn't mentioned but if you listened on, literally about a couple of tracks later, Spoons played the "Bad Touch" by The Bloodhound Gang where they name check Prince! ("Me and you do the kind of stuff that only Prince would sing about")

Eerie coz I only just started a thread about tracks that name checked Prince a day or two earlier. Both of those tracks were posted on the thread too! Hadn't heard any of them on the radio for ages as well

Spooney's made positive comments about Prince before. The most recent was last week when they were discussing 'guitar' bands. His comment was 'if you want guitars listen to Prince - that's some real guitar music'. But generally, Radio 1 or any other British radio station doesn't play Prince in the UK. Radio 2 being the exception.

I sometimes listen to Schooly on Capita Radio and last year he was playing "She Loves Me $ Me" a hell of alot. I exchanged emails with him and he admitted being a big Prince fan. Thing is that DJ's don't have enough influence when choosing records...the producers do.
