Prince references in television

.. I know this has already been a topic but i just wanted to know what t.v shows that you guys have seen that has Prince refernces in them. Okay i already know that in an episode of 227, Ms. jenkins wrote her own song and the Brenda said sumthin' like "hey mom, maybe Prince could write some of your songs" and the Ms. Jenkins said "..Prince is not writing any of my songs", and also in Sister sister when Roger said that some people said that he loooked like the spitting image of Prince.
In friends, when, I think it was when Ross and Chandler where going to the Hard Rock Cafe, and Ross was saying how much he liked the place b/c of the food, but the Chandler says sumthin' like "..You like it because of the Purple Rain display".

in a Simpsons ep Little Richy is performing & Homer's like 'Quiet Michael Jackson is singing...Yeah Purple Rain (as he holds a lighter above his head)' <- something like that.
I saw a guy do an impersonation on some Comedy festival of Prince singing & Dave Chappelle did a skit on Prince & his basketball skills biggrin

Didn't Jordan dress up like P on an episode of Bernie Mac? And once, on an episode of Family Ties, Mallory asks her dad if he knows the song, "Let's Get Crazy by Prince?" This always bothered me as she said, "Get" instead of "Go". Ah, Mallory. Didn't Sophia make a Prince reference on Golden Girls once?

My favorite will always be an episode of Malcolm and Eddie(which is off the air now) when Eddie got Prince to agree to come to their club and perform but his plane had engine trouble and Eddie dressed up as Prince to fool the crowd. It was the best Prince impersonation i have ever seen.

Hmm-
There's a guy who impersonates Prince perfectly on SNL-- I cant quite remember his name...
They have a skit called the Prince show where he dresses up in suits and whimpers-- my explanation does that comedian no justice-- he's goooood
Maya Rudolph as Beyonce is the co-host-- its hilarious. I think they call it "the Prince show"

on tHe tracey morgan show-- the guy who played Money Mike in The Friday after Next-- sung christmas songs w/a prince twist-- while wearing a ruffle shirt and a purple suit-- I think it was some kind of Christmas show. That was goooood.

On the Golden Girls-- one time Estelle Getti (Sophia) was singing along to PR while listening to it on a walkman...That was aiight..

A recent episode of the WB's 'That's What I Like About You' centered around the older sister buying tickets to a Prince concert to go with her boyfriend, when she had already made plans to spend the day with her little sister. She made up a story as to why she had to reschedule their planned day, but the little sister had already found the envelope with the Prince tickets in it. Of coure, in the end the little sister told her sister that she had found the tickets and said it was ok for her to go with her boyfriend.

BTW, I also saw that episode of Malcolm and Eddie, when Eddie impersonated P. That mess was hilarious. lol

Wasn't there an episode of Martin where Pam & Tommy rented Purple Rain?

I have a vague recollection of this. Not 100% sure it happened though. neutral

The Simpsons have had many Prince references. The episode when Homer yells "Purple Rain," is when they are in Florida at a teacher of the year confernce and Little Richard is on stage. Homer thinks he is Prince. When they have all those puppies, they name one Prince and another, The Puppy formerally know as Prince. There's an episode when the comic book store guy is mad about something and jumps on line to voice his anger, and they show other guys doing it too, one of them looking like Prince. And in a Halloween episode, Homer eats through the gingerbread walls of a witch, and says, "Hmmm, sugar walls." In some episode, they are showing Kent Brockman on tv, talking about the following celebraties are wanted by police (or something like that) and they scroll names on the screen, you see the Prince symbol. I have seen too many Simpsons episodes.
