Absolutely. The one thing I've found that comes with age is that you don't feel so personally insulted if every single song on an album doesn't somehow fit within some narrow definitions on what you happen to think "good music" is supposed to be like at the given moment. I remember making endless lists on the Windows 3.1 Notepad on what songs should have been on the album, and hell, how they should have been even sequenced. Shit like that you really tend to get over. | |

I remember going across the street in NYC and seeing a poster for Emancipation on a scaffold. I thought GREAT a new album! I like it but there was a lot of filler on it. I think it would have been a phenomenal 2-CD set but I'm still glad it was a 3-CD set. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |
