Prince shouldn't be fucking around with his original lyrics. Ever. If he doesn't like the words anymore, he just shouldn't be singing the songs at all.

Not sure what the situation is with Gett Off at the moment. Did he do it at all on the last tour?
He changed it to "scriptures" around the time of Rave 2000 but he changed it back to "positions" for the Hit'n'Run tour. Go figure. |

These lyric changes remind me of an episode of "The Simpsons" where Red Hot Chili Peppers were to perform on Krusty the Clown´s show and Krusty suggested that they change some of their lyrics for that performance. One of the suggestions was "What I´d like to do is I´d like to kiss and hug you" instead of "What I got you gotta get and put it in you".
