What the !%@# was he on... Okay so the Baby I'm A Star video / performance contained in the PR re-release has to be the absolute wickedest performances I've ever seen... Prince just cuts loose.
What show is that from? And if I were going to track down a First Avenue performance which one should it be.

I love how when you look at everyone on that stage in that clip, there's not a single person not making the funk face...well, except for Lisa, and even she looks like she's gone too long without a cigarette!

This is the performance that truly made me a fan. I was only 14 i saw this simulcast on MTV and I just went nuts. I love some of his music now and i saw the Musicology tour in Boston this past August. As good as the show was I still miss the energy from the eighties shows. I hope someday he goes all out like that one more time.

Okay so I think I got it.
He broke into that Miami Bass segment with Sheila E. and why on earth would he do this unless he was in Miami. I was in Jr. High then. Didn't make that Purple Bowl (Orange Bowl) show but the buzz lasted for weeks. My classmates were speechless

What I wouldnt have given to be that Cyndi Lauper lookin girl with the tamborine who was she anyway?? If you will, so will I

She was in Sheila's camp. I believe she was on the cover of Romance 1600 as well as in Sheila's Krush Groove performances. Can't remember if she was in the 1600 concert video.
Her and Eddie M were always hangin' tight. Maybe she was a horn player as well.

Her name is Susie Davis (singer/keyboardist) and she took part in the Family Jamm as part of Sheila's band last year.

Yep, it's a great dance workout video that seems like it'll never end, but how about the "Take Me With U" video with that crazy guitar work!! Love it.

What show is that from? And if I were going to track down a First Avenue performance which one should it be. In answer to your last question, track down the Aug 3rd 1983 show
