Listen to the beginning of Michael Jackson's "Why you wanna trip on me" (from the Dangerous album)... Obviously influenced by the "Vicki Vale" part in "Batdance" (which was released only a year or so before MJ's recording).

Both songs also start with (very similar) overdrive guitar chords...
