What's does this mean???? confused

Prince says it all the times in some of his earlier songs. I've also heard Parliment/ Slave and Ohio Players say it in there songs?

It certainly does not have to mean anything.
I think he means beat.

Wheneve rhe used to chant The Roof, The Roof, The roof is on fire! I certainly did not look for fire extinguishers...

Yeah,,

But for example,,, The Roof, The Roof,, is a chant that came from another song.
I was wondering if that saying came from another song also. Like a James brown track or something.
