Why did Graffiti Bridge get the Parental Advisory sticker? I just noticed that my cassette of Graffiti Bridge has the infamous PARENTAL ADVISORY EXPLICIT LYRICS sticker. What's the deal with that? I don't remember any swearing or explicit themes in this album.

3 words: Tick, Tick, Bang!
(all over you) Okay, now 3 more words: We Can Funk (We be funkin' over here, and over there ain't shit!!) No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.
Sex is not love. Love is not sex. Putting words in other people's mouths will only get you elected. Need more sleep than coke or methamphetamine.

I believe that a couple of the Time songs have curse words in them. I can't remember if it is Shake, The Latest Fashion, or Love Machine. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

"Love Machine" has the word "shit" in it.
And "We Can Funk" has the word "pee" in it. Too much bodily fluids flowin' on that album.

It's quite simple: The movie has the Parental Advisory sticker because graffiti is a bad thing that will lead kids down the wrong road in life. LARD: IT will lead us to a free world

I mean, did they ever expect parents to sit down with their kids while they listened to a particular record?

In "Release It", Jerome says "fuck that talk" at one point. Don't hate me 'cause I'm NOT beautiful

That's most likely the reason. The f-word always used to get'em going. It's funny though that the whole Parental Advisory thing was invented in the first place because of Prince, yet the first album to have it would be "Graffiti Bridge" half a decade later. And even that album was primarily a mushy collection of soft musical-like songs about harmony, friendship and God knows what geekiness.
