So, seeing as "...money isnt an issue with his music...", then of the many many protegé I'd like to recommend:
Ingrid Chavez's album "May 19, 1992". Very atmospheric, dreamy tunes.
Sheila E, especially "The Glamorous Life" and "Romance 1600". She so funky.
The Family's only album, which was Pretty Much Prince anyway, but I love Paul Peterson's unpolished vocals, plus the original "Nothing Compares 2 U" is *SO* much better than Sinead O'Connors... and Prince's own for that matter.
Jill Jones' self titled album rocks. Stunning voice and sucha tight album.
Vanity 6 and Apollonia 6 are both excellent and I'd say are "must haves", plus of course I cannot make recommendations without saying that
The Time are such a class act. Masters of sexy, long, fun jams... and you'll learn some new dances and also I suggest you pick up anything and everything by
Wendy and Lisa. These wonderful ladies were the brains behind the Revolution and I feel that Prince's wagon fell of the rails somewhat when they left. Hear their music and imagine how much better some of Princes more wayward releases would have sounded if they'd stayed on the scene...

One word of warning... Never, ever, ever buy Good Question's album... EVER!
