I'm aware that 17 Days is a b-side to When Doves Cry but is it the extended version? I saw it in a record store but failed to take note and now it's gone. Foolish me I know.

And were there any other singles released that I need to get for full length b-sides that didn't appear on the hits?

i'd love to hear that fan-made '17 days' remix. about the only reason i'll bother with stuff like kazaa or WINMX anymore is to check out amateur remixes of bands i like. even the bad ones can be entertaining, but the good ones can knock my socks off moreso than even what the bands try to pawn off as 12" remixes.

17-days extended fan-mix

Seems like I heard this before but wasn't impressed. A lot of these fan mixes are full of bad timing, that is they can't get the beat to land exactly at the right spot -- it annoys the heck outta me. And unless they add their own instruments or effects, a loop is a loop is a long boring loop.

Anyway, what makes this one any good? Is there a lot going on with it? Effects, extra guitars, bass, drums, etc?

I thought u meant his yaboinga was 12 inches! Lucky Mani I thought.....but alas I imagine it's quite small.....

Yes, if Warners wanted to screw even more money from Prince, then they should seriously consider a 12" collection! maybe not all of them, as stated above it would be about 4cds, but maybe a 2 disk set with the cream of cuts (in chronological order of course).
