Am the only one who thinks that Prince should go back to the androgynous theme again? Like maybe do a couple of Camille albums with an updated theme?

Nowadays it's jehova-Prince, or Pimp suite Prince, butched up and more James Brown than ever.

Does anyone else long for a Lovesexy/SOTT error type look again? It was like Prince said, "HELL YEAH, I got me a set of big hairy Balls--But they sweat themselves and bounce around in lace panties and silky threads--ya got something against DAT?????"

I liked "tranny" (for lack of a better word) Prince better.

Even in 2004, it takes more balls for a man to go out in public dressed in women's clothes and makeup -whether or not it's actual drag. Anyone can wear a suit.

There was a thread not long ago: "Is Prince 2004 boring?" I say, YES. Don't try to tell me it's his maturity showing. Being mature shouldn't equal boring. Prince apparently thinks so though.....

I agree with meow85. I don't think Prince's androgyny was ever strictly a gimmick, although he did know how to exploit that quality of himself to his best advantage.

Prince obviously legitimately enjoys indulging his feminine side, and is attracted to such things as makeup and "feminine" stuff like lace, heels, etc etc. His openness to that part of himself one of the many cool things about him that I've always appreciated.

This suit wearing thing of recent times is probably the result of many reasons, not the least of which he just likes (and looks HOT in) suits. But he also gets bored and likes changing his look, and exploring fashion in general, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if one day he starts dressing more androgynously again. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if he begins dressing with enthusiasm in some OTHER type of style.

I just love it when he uses lots of eyeliner and mascara and eyeshadow. No man has ever looked more gorgeous in eye makeup than Prince. It's a waste not to dress up them peepers and he knows it.
