Batman is a mixed bag of lollies (few P albums are not...)... sometimes you get that goddamn lemon one when you wanted the raspberry...but they're all still lollies (sorry that's "candy" in US-speak). IMO Partyman is the best track on the album Call her green and the winter cannot fade her

Uhm, no, that's not it The b-side from the PartyMan single "Feel U Up" dates back to the parade era. Or, well, even further back, but it was re-recorded at that time. It's from the Camille sessions and therefore fits the partyman track as a nice b-side. Far as I know, the PartyMan song, as is, lyrics and all dates from the time of the Batman album. He used a lot of older rhythm tracks he had left lying around for the Batman album, and some songs he re-wrote (Anna Waiting becoming Vicky Waiting etc). But I've never heard of Partyman being included on any incarnation of the Parade album. Perhaps some of the beat was created way back then, but even that seems highly unlikely to me. Excuse my ranting, it's just that the 1985/1987 period is my baby and I try to convince myself I know all about it and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Gotta go with Partyman...even though I am still trying to figure out what exactly is being broken when it bends...sounds reaallllly painful. All good things they say never last...
