I've been listening to ONA lately, and it completely drives me crazy every time Prince says, "if you don't know, you better "ax" somebody." Ugh! You know where he says before a few songs, "if you know the words, sing along. If you don't know, you better "ax" somebody."

It's funny, when I was younger and obsessed with Prince, he did no wrong. Every song was a genius work of art (to me), but now that I'm older, I see why people make fun of him. He says some stupid things, makes some hideous songs, and even takes some terrible pictures. Never thought I'd say that, but it's true.

I can't stand the "what's your last name, Rrrrrebecca?"

it makes my jaw lock from grinding my teeth too hard..

One Nite Alone Live drives me crazy because the aftershow disc sucks balls after "Joy In Repetition".

Almost everything he said was stupid. Especially when Larry would jump in and say it differently than Prince would. I wanted to reach through the TV and slap him, saying: Nobody rattled your chain... SHUT UP!

At the 2002 Celebration, he had to the gall to ask the "eclectic" crowd, that was full of different religious backgrounds and sexual orientations, If God had a name. The crowds response was a very confused one, with everyone shouting out different names. Someone shouted out "Allah," while I heard some women shouting out girl names.

It's like, shut up and play your music. He thinks he knows something others don't. And the little "I'm holier than all of you" attitude he was walking around with just made him look even more stupid.

But, like Odyssey said... Damn him for being human!

Sorry for going off on a little tangent there. He did do much better this year in his interviews.

you and I! No really, I swear

and he burps and farts and doesn't like his peas touching his meat. especially if the meat is CRAZY , but only on Wednesdays before Kingdom Hall service. and his chair must face west on the south end of the table. and his bath water MUST be tepid/luke warm with lavender bubble bath, and the bathroom door must be cracked at a 45 degree angle...and before bed he MUST have his fingerpaints and have Mani read him an exerpt from the crystal ball.

One of the dumbest things I ever heard him say was in response to Mel B asking him what she could call him during the Beautiful Strange interview...he replied "Spud" as in potato - if you dont want to answer the question then dont...but for god sake dont make yourself look more of a prick than you already do when refering to "slices of the purple pie" and describing your shows as "sick"

Amazing how mediocre Prince's own version of a fairly stunning tour can be, given the great quality of "other sources" of the shows out there...

I think it's fair to call Prince an "Idiotic Genius". While he is clearly flat-out peerless when it comes to the giftedness to write, perform, lead a band, etc., often the guy leaves you scratchin' your head with releases like this, with incredibly poor singles choices, and with suspect (to say the least), political and religious stances, and odd statements during interviews.

I guess that's why I love him; as much as I am inspired by him and blown away by his ability, he always throws in somethin that reminds me that he's human!

I like that!!!

I've browsed through 3-4 posts tonight on Prince.org and I find nothing but complaining and subjective criticism. I'm going back to Housequake.com

For me "Anna Stesia" is a HOLY song. And on ONA prince totally RUINS that holy spirit by chanting "join the club, join the club !". Absolutely embarrassing. I can' t listen to it.
