The Gold Experience was good, but it was obvious that he was trying too hard to create "Purple Rain 2" with this one (right down to the title track, which pales in comparison to PR). Chaos and Disorder was pretty much the opposite - Lots of guitar and a rougher sound, but overall I felt it was a more satisfying record.
What are your picks? CO-SIGN. "SYMBOL" was superior 2 "Diamonds & Pearls" IMHO and "CHAOS & DISORDER" still ROCKS hard 2 this day. "GOLD EXPERIENCE" would also come in 3rd 4 me.

for sure and Emancipation (has enough good songs to beat out other 90s albums)
The Gold Experience and Graffiti Bridge are very close behind those two

At this moment I would say The Vault (jazzy wich I like) and Emancipation (some of his best ballads on it)

Gotta be 'Come' and 'The Truth', with respect due to 'Emancipation' and 'The Vault', tho there's much to enjoy on all his '90s albums.
