Would you buy 'em all?

If Prince was to release all his concert recordings on CD and sell them in the NPGmusicclub. Would you just buy the concerts you went to yourself, would you collect all the setlists and pick the "best" ones, or would you buy 'em all?

note:Pearl Jam released all their '99/'00 concerts on CD on sold them through retail for the normal CD price. I'm still waiting for Prince to do the same. It will piss off the bootleggers and get us soundboard recorded concerts smile (and he'll probably make some money...)

I hope Prince reads this one and acts on it.

Come on Prince you know we want them, you've got them. What's holding you back? The longer you wait the more money the bootleggers will make off your back.

Are Pearl Jam fans as obsessive as Prince fams?
Coz even though I think it's a nice idea, I hope he DOESN'T do it. Simply because I'd want them ALL, & I'd never be able to afford it without going seriously into debt.

You don't have to buy 'em all. I myself would not by them all, it pick the "special ones" and aftershows. I'm not a Pearl Jam fan, I just work at the purchasing department off a record store retail chain and know that these Pearl Jam CD's sold very well.

buy'em all twice. one copy for listening, one for collecting (kept sealed). With the rest of the money I'll probably buy Paisley Park and the rights for Prince's early Masters. But for now, I have enough money only for one glass of tap water. sad

I'd only buy the best / out of the ordinary setlists and the aftershows (as long as they're not more guest performers than the man himself, that is)

Purple music does the same to my brain

The number of PJ bootlegs is way up there - mind you, Prince has 10 years on them, so I'm sure there's MORE bootlegs of HIS stuff... but Pearl Jam was aware of the high number of bootlegs and decided to give the fans what they wanted -- and Prince WOULD benefit extremely to release the classic bootlegs.

What would you say are the BEST live shows? Definitely the First Ave 8/3/83 for sure. What else? Paris?

I will only by the concerts I went to, especially the videotapes. The only ones I will want I did not attend would be the unrehearsed aftershows. And hopefully, they rock hard in a funky place the 'small club.'

I wouldn't buy them all. I'd be more inclined to look at setlists and buy according to that. I have a friend in Sweden who sends me bootleg concerts from time to time, but I'm not interested in fifteen bootleg versions of the same show on the same tour. There are so many bootlegs out there that having all of them would just be overkill. Right now, I'm just more interested in finding songs that he doesn't perform anymore or very often. I don't need a hundred versions of Purple Rain and Kiss.

I would love to hear a copy of the August 1986 Parade show at MSG that I was at. I wouldn't buy them all, only ones like the Prince/Stevie Wonder duet 'Maybe Your Baby' on CD would be great to have. I won't join the club either. No guarantee Prince is gonna play in my city, plus I don't have a good sound system on my computer.

That would B great & I'd pick certain shows 2 groove 2. But I would rather him put out the dvd/videos-tapes 2 his live shows/concerts. 2 hear is nice, but 2 see & hear is soo nice~

I seriously doubt whether he will release ALL his concert recordings on CD. It does not seem practical to me.

I'll admit, if I didn't buy them all I would buy most of them. Prince live in any capacity is a must-have.

I would buy at least one from each tour, and any aftershow CD's. Of course depending on tracklists, I might buy quite a few from the same tour.
I think Prince should pick one soundboard from each tour and offer them exclusively for NPGMC members to purchase as a test.
Since the material is already circulating, he could easily just repackage some of the Sabotage releases, even take the cover art they use!smile

It's a nice idea, there's so many bootlegs going around and maybe this way Prince would reap the rewards.
I would definitely buy the ones that I attended and yes probably most others but like already mentioned depends on how much you've got to spend.

If Prince actually did this I would be in heaven. I would buy one from each tour in a split second, money is no object to something like that.

Screw the sound sampler, RELEASE THE LIVE SHOWS.

I'm still trying 2 get all the past tours as soundboard recordings...i love his live stuff.
