I'm sad some folks think the suits are boring. They are really very sharp in fashion terms - quite unually constructed with those asymetrical hems e.g. red long jacket (very retro 80s by the way you folks looking back...) and the pin stripes with the extended wrap-around lapels that kind of button at the back (they do emphasise that waist...). The cut is just so and the detailing is very styly 
On stage in Sydney he also wore a rather beautiful long shift shirt thing - looked quite Indian - maybe silk with decorative edge. Naw... the fashion is still happening with the man.  Call her green and the winter cannot fade her | |

Prince's shows and look seem oh so rehearsed and calculated these days...he's like "everyone, do somethin' freaky!" when we haven't seen him do anything freaky in forever. I too prefer sissified Prince, but he'd look like a freakshow doing it in the 00's. The times have a-changed, and folks just don't get away with what they did in the 80's. Besides, Rave seemed like a return-to-androgyny and he just couldn't pull the shit off...he doesn't have the daring he did when he was 21, and that's okay, because he has...Jehovah to compensate. | |
