i keep seeing used copies of their albums...were they that bad?  Oh yes, awful. They had no connection to Prince what-so-ever, either in terms of the production, writting or performance, but also they weren't even stylistically like Prince. Poor show. 7. Who's your favourite Prince protegé Ive never really been interested in them so i dunno Great answers... even though your answer to 3 makes me feel very old... I was 16 in 1986. So, seeing as "...money isnt an issue with his music...", then of the many many protegé I'd like to recommend: Ingrid Chavez's album "May 19, 1992". Very atmospheric, dreamy tunes. Sheila E, especially "The Glamorous Life" and "Romance 1600". She so funky. The Family's only album, which was Pretty Much Prince anyway, but I love Paul Peterson's unpolished vocals, plus the original "Nothing Compares 2 U" is *SO* much better than Sinead O'Connors... and Prince's own for that matter. Jill Jones' self titled album rocks. Stunning voice and sucha tight album. Vanity 6 and Apollonia 6 are both excellent and I'd say are "must haves", plus of course I cannot make recommendations without saying that The Time are such a class act. Masters of sexy, long, fun jams... and you'll learn some new dances and also I suggest you pick up anything and everything by Wendy and Lisa. These wonderful ladies were the brains behind the Revolution and I feel that Prince's wagon fell of the rails somewhat when they left. Hear their music and imagine how much better some of Princes more wayward releases would have sounded if they'd stayed on the scene... One word of warning... Never, ever, ever buy Good Question's album... EVER! lol - Actually now that you say it having seen his films (several times of course) i did enjoy Vanity and i loved The Time - ive never thought about buying the albums tho, up unitll i was 16 the only music i ever owned or listened to was by Prince or David Bowie because as far as i was concerned no one else had talent Ive since branched out a little (not far mind) and price has and will always remain my number one.

I needed When Doves Cry's gospel infused rock to tie me down. 5. Your favourite album? Taking in musical diversity, style, art design and tour (the entire package) I would have to say Sign "O" The Times. I cannot get enough of anything Prince did from 1982 to 1988. 6. Varies with mood; most often on number one have been; God [instrumental], Just My Imagination [live at Het Paard Van Troje], the extended Paisley Park, the extended La, La, La, He, He, Hee and Forever In My Life (album and movie version) 7. The Gold Experience, strangely, just because ylou never knew what he was going to pull out of his hat. I cannot get enough of anything Prince did from 1982 to 1988. Even though I still follow his new stuff, it does not speak to me as his old music did then (and now). 10.
