any orgers from minneapolis ??? i have to take a trip there soon and i was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on where to find the funk there ???i have been to paisley and all the other obvious princly spots but this time i'll be in the downtown area...i am looking for funk...i already plan to check out kip at bunkers...but is there more ??? it does not have to be all about prince ...i just want to know where people that would dig prince and FONK !!! would hang out...thanx | |

You might want to try out "The Front." It's located right next to Boom right off of Hennepin and 4th St. NE. Take the Hennepin Ave. bridge to get there. . . | |

i advise against this--the local fan clique/group/whoever used to have their monthly parties at the front, but not anymore (dunno why). from what i remember from the few times i went there, it ain't the greatest place in the world to be for a prince fan/friend/freek/fam/whoever. 'sides, it's really nothin more than a hole-in-the-wall joint anyway. | |

'sides, it's really nothin more than a hole-in-the-wall joint anyway. I have to totally disagree with you on this one. Yes the monthly parties were kind of boring but they were on Wednesday nights. I highly recommend going to The Front on a Friday or Saturday. The DJ (Dirty Duke) plays the funk all night. Bring your dancing shoes! 'You must first be a Prince before you can be King'
