So reading the concert reports it sounds like Prince has said the new CD is going to be ready for members in a couple of weeks.

Do we know what songs are likely to be on it? It is Prince and his piano right? No backing band? Hmmmm... Eavesdropped In Intimate Moments springs to mind. Now that was a cool bootleg.

I don't think Prince said '2 weeks', from what I've read in people's reports he said 'a couple of weeks' -which, in the autonomous universe of Paisley Park, can mean pretty much anything from 2 weeks till about 6 months.....

What songs will be on it? Ehm.....I think new ones. Duh....




So how can anyone tell what's on it, if it's all new? Not even sure if the npgmc downloads will all b on it since they were only demo versions. Who knows what kinda changes he made since then....

Mind you being in the UK it might even be a little hit or miss as to whether I get my first CD that quickly. I remember reading last year's posts about Rave In2 CD. Bit of a mixed success rate as I recall.

Yeah, I know what U mean. I'm from Holland, so that's even further away....lol...

But I'm sure they'll keep working on those postal thingies.

And if not, we'll just have 2 slap his ass at the soundcheck when he comes and plays over here.

Prince specifically said during the Lakeland soundcheck that the new CD would go out to club members in "about two weeks." I personally wouldn't hold my breath waiting though!

Someone asked him if it would be "Xenophobia," and Prince said no it would be something else. I assume it will be the "One Nite Alone" CD.

Since the first CD won't be Xenophobia (seems so at least), I hope it's One Nite Alone but I'll be happy with (almost) anything.

I hope though, that they won't hold back the real gems until the end of the year specualting that the ongoing tour will bring more members...

I didn't join the NPGMC last year so didn't hear any of the new songs apart from the freebies (and it killed me to see you all post about Supercute, Vavoom etc). On other threads I have noticed people talking about the song One Night Alone and the One Night Alone CD as if it is common knowledge what it sounds like and what will be included.

So I guess that is what I was getting at in my original post. Is Prince performing some of these songs on the current tour? What are they like? Is it all just speculation at the moment? Why do I feel so out of the loop? Who is Takumi? What does Najee look like? Have I got enough time to buy a guitar and learn a Prince perfect version of Last December to perform at the soundcheck if/when he comes to the UK? Is my brain about to explode?

In concert he's been playing "Avalanche" recently, which -altho not confirmed- sounds like it would fit in perfectly with the other songs I mentioned above, so it might be on 'one nite alone' as well.

They're all songs that mainly feature Prince on piano with very sparse extra instrumentation.

The best thing 2 compare those songs 2 is "The Truth" album
but with the guitar -obviously- replaced by piano.

Is the One Nite Alone CD all ballads/slow songs? Every track I've heard so far seems to suggest a a full album of piano playing and falsetto vocals.
