Not talented?...I can't take that seriously!
The guy had the most talented musicians in his band you could ever wish for,He made more albums than any of these , so called, artists,and he could play the guitar like nobody else could/can.And the list could go on and on...
You don't consider Frank's death to be a great loss to the music industry?
Frank should've been president....

I don't think you can quantify talent, or the value of an artist. Personally I think it's ridiculous to claim that Prince is the greatest musical talent of all-time. And for the record, many of the people being named here could do just about everything that Prince does (Stevie, Sly, Rundgren) so Prince isn't the most versatile artist of all time either. Besides, Prince may "cover the bases" better than anyone, but some people might only cover a few and cover them extremely well and it doesn't make them less talented. What Prince represents to me, rather than the greatest artist of all time, is the greatest artist of his generation: the successor to the great artists of the past generations. That's why Prince is such a perfect name for him: he's heir to the throne of the great "kings" of the past.
