Cover version of "I Wanna Be Your Lover" I just heard a version of "I Wanna Be Your Lover" that I had never heard before. It was covered by a woman; the production sounds very 80s. I liked the version, but I have no idea who does it. Anyone have any ideas? | |

Loleatta Holloway did a cover of it on a tribute album to Prince called "Party O The Times" that was released in 1999. It was a house track. This album consisted entirely of Prince covers by various artists. Andy is a four letter word. | |

Gayle & Gillian did a cover in the very early 90s, produced by Stock & Waterman I think.
They were Australian identical twins who appeared in day-time soap Neighbours which was very popular in the UK in the late 80s - They were on the tail-end of the popularity of turning the shows young cast into popstars (Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, and let's try and forget Stephan Dennis! - Don't it make you FEEEEEL goooood!) | |
