I was there, back in '88, I have posted a review a couple of months ago which should be somewhere on this site.....I can't find it. Don't feel like doing it again!

small club was recorded at an aftershow on the lovesexy tour august 18, 1988 in the hague netherlands. it's the lovesexy band - prince, levi, miko, sheila, cat and boni + atlanta and eric. excellent sound quality, dynamite performance, easily the best bootleg ever. congrats on copping that one! I'm going to The Hague this weekend for the first time in my life. I would like to visit the Paard van Troje Club, just being curious. Can someone please post me the adress of the club, is it still called the trojan horse and are there any prince-references after all those years? Thanx! -----------------------------------------

Het Paard Van Troje has been renovated recently and does not really resemble the previous form it was in. The old club was a bit shabby and the new club is a bit hi-tech.

It's called "Paard Van Troje" nowadays (used to be " 't Paard Van Troje" then it was called " 't Paard" after that just "Paard"...) No Prince references there mainly because the management has changed for about 4 times ever since the early 1990's and I wanna take bets that everybody who works there now, including the owner, have got a clue Prince ever played there or that it was actually an amazing club back in the day... Now it's just a shitty dance club... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

It's a very good version, but not as good as he played it in the London aftershow, when Mica Paris was in the audience. But then the sound quality isn't that good, compared to the Trojan Horse show.(the solo's better,though..)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think 1988 was in the 80's.

And I had the London aftershow BEFORE Small CLub ever hit the streets. Even though Mica's vocals were a thrill. And a bigger thrill was to see the actual video footage and I found out she was still in the audience and he just handed her the pic... Still; the puritan in me would choose the Het Paard version over the London one.
