While we're on the subject: Worst Prince album ever? Give it to me. A Prince disaster album. |

My first REAL disapointment with a Prince album was "COME", i was used to be positively surprised with each Prince album since "DIRTY MIND", with always something new,exciting and even fun in almost each track, and even if "BATMAN" and maybe "GRAFFITI BRIDGE" were a bit below the Prince quality standard, even those albums offer more than enough reasons to keep feel fascination by this guy, but "COME"...well, made me a bit sad, i loved "Letitgo" but the rest...only listed it 4 or 5 times, now its almost 7 years without coming back to it...
Also disapointing were "THE GOLD EXPERIENCE" (but including to me a classic, "Dolphin") and "RAVE UN2 THE JOY FANTASTIC" , more the latter one than the first..About "NEW POWER SOUL", what i say is that i only listened it once...! dirty mind and come i wasnt too happy with those LOL. Everybody loves Dirty Mind, and it's hailed as one of his great albums. I never really dug it. I think I could take four songs off of it, and it would make a kick ass EP. But as an album, it only hinted of things to come. | |
