falloff Please READ the question...since when are JUGHEAD & POPE classic Prince songs?
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I agree with Raspberry Beret and Cream although I like Cream a little more now that I've seen him sing it live.

Might be alone on this one, but I really don't dig Pink Cashmere.

Cream and Diamonds and Pearls, two little nice but fairly weak songs to which no one could ever think of applying the label "genius"...

Housequake. Everybody seems to think it's soo funky, but I can not even begin to imagine how to dance to this. To me its just irritating.

"Raspberry Beret"---I was never all that crazy about this song. It's nice, but nothing special, and certainly not a "classic" imo.

"Do Me Baby"---this is considered one of Prince's classic slow jams and the ladies love it,but it has never done anything for me.

"Starfish And Coffee"---the only song on 'SOTT' that I don't really like.

"Delirious" for me as well. "In All My Dreams" makes me sick... and even though I used to blast "Gold" for hours on repeat when I was a teenager it really just makes me giggle these days.

I'm shocked!

Is it that people hated these from the get-go, or are just sick of them?

I really don't listen to any of the "popular" Prince songs that were played on the radio: 1999. When Doves Cry, Little Red Corevette (I love the long version though), Let's Go Crazy, Purple Rain etc. When people find out I'm a Prince fan they automatically think that I love these songs...but I don't!

p.s. This song reminds me of Jethro Tulls song called Aqualung. Does anybody feel me on this.

clapping Please marry me. I have hated that song since the first day I ever heard it. Imagine my chargrin at having to sit through it six times live at all the concerts I went to this summer.

I used to really love Raspberry Beret now I can't stand it. Never liked Do Me Baby. It's so cheesy and it cracks me up every time I hear it. Not with you on Starfish and Coffee. I have always loved that one.

I didn't dig it either for awhile but seeing the man play it live changed all that wink

I do agree with those of you who cite "Do Me Baby"... I just don't get it confused

I also had a hard time swallowing Purple Rain until I saw him do it live for the Musicology encore which made me appreciate this beautiful anthem.
