"Everywhere" is the 1st thing that came into my mind. You can here joy in his voice when he sings.."there a mighty good feeling everywhere" at the end of the tune.

I don't remember there being a "long" version of Good Love either.. I just remember the one from the unreleased Camille album that later turned up on the Bright Lights Big City soundtrack. I don't remember if the one from Crystal Ball was the same...I was a bit disappointed that previously released tracks and remixes appeared on Crystal Ball at all, so I didn't go back and listen to it again.

Anyway, Good Love is a great choice. My first thought would be "Strollin", but Good Love is probably better.

This is why people like silly, derivative pop music so much. It makes you smile. It's happy!

Prince makes great happy music that can turn my mood around just like that.

I'm glad that many have mentioned Play in the Sunshine. Some have dogged that song on the org, but I just love it.

The happiest song has to be:
-Private Joy
-Everyday is A Winding Road
-Baby Knows
-The Rainbow Childern
-Endorphine Machine

Just listen to these songs and tell me what you think.

Happy songs by the little guy

1. the ABC song
2. some home run song with the bases loaded but he says it wrong -- he obviously doesn't know baseball
3. that song that talks about some stupid pinkish-purplish hat
4. a song about a purple banana and killer daffodils
5. some song bragging about his stardom -- would definitely make a good cover for a Target Christmas commercial, only Tina Turner should sing it instead
6. the "get stupid" song
7. cherry pie!? apple kisses!? what's so cool about that!?
8. some "of-age" song against statutory rape....who says prince never had morals and cared about serious issues???
9. the k-mart song
10. Prince claims he's the Messiah song

A Peaceful Wild, ya'll!!!

GOOD LOVE is the happiest feeling song.
LOVESEXY is the most telling about what happines can be about.
PLAY IN THE SUNSHINE is just about being happy, but it's not the happiest song.
THERE IS LONELY is the saddest, OLD FRIENDS 4 SALE is a close 2nd.

I don't know about the long version.
As far as I know, two versions were officialy released, one was included on "Bright Lights Big City" OST, and another on "Crystal Ball" album.
I called "Bright Lights Big City" version as "Full-length version" whose length is 5 min 11 sec. Some chorus parts are ommited from the ending of this version and edited as "Crystal Ball" version whose length is 4 min 55 sec (incuding 22 seconds of croud noise at the ending).
Unofficial long version may exist, but I'm not sure.

in reply to peterv above:

yes, "round & round" is a very good song indeed! don't know that it's the happiest, though it certainly is nice and breezy.

i love this song, think it's much underrated.
