Life Could Be So Nice...I don't know, I always felt that song was just a melencholy song. Like it's a song about how life can be so nice but it's groove and key are sad, like a contrast or contradiction.

I love it though, it's Prince at his most interesting and funked out experimental jams with the Revolution (I know Sheila played drums but I always imagine Bobby!) !

At the risk of getting beaten up (lol!!!) I would have to say "Everywhere" off the TRC CD is a very happy song. The other songs that were previously mentioned on this thread are also good choices.

ok... I thought we had to pick ONE song - but since others have given lists, I will try to pick my top 3

'Play in the Sunshine'
'Let's Go Crazy'
'Erotic City'

* I definitely feel there are others, but these are the top 3 off the top of my head *

Funny you should say that, because the video always makes me think of the Electric Company!

Yeah, I have to agree. "Everywhere" surely has an extra-joyous feel to it.

Also...
Starfish and Koffee
When You Were Mine (I don't know, it just makes me smile)
Betcha By Golly Wow
Mr. Happy "Turn off that weak jam man...Come on...Mr. Happy is here, and we're Buggin..." (I love it lol )

Off the top of my head...that's it

Blue Cashmere/Prince
"Don't Play Me"
Blue music

Good love (edit) vs. Good love (long)

I actually prefer the edit as it makes the song more cohesive and power packed ideal for radio or a compilation tape for a none Prince fan! the longer version has that annoying "Good love part 2" phrase which IMO spoils the flow! I just wish it started a bit cleaner!

I think the ultimate HAPPY song is definitely "Starfish And Coffee"!!! It's one of those songs that no matter how you're feeling, no matter how old you are, it takes you back to a simpler time in your life and brings a smile to your face smile

True art doesn't have to be complex to be beautiful...
