U reckon Jam and Lewis were very pissed off at not being in "purple rain"? Checking from the special edition DVD, they talk about the movie loads and yet they were not in it! I know they have every right to discuss the movie, and it is great to always see them being interviewed, but I reckon, particually in 1984, thety proberly felt sick that they were fired about a year (or whatever?) before the movie, this was obviously could not appear in it!
I love Jam and Lewis by the way, and am still pissed that Morris or Jerome were not on DVD, but Jam and lewis still obviously wish they coulda been in the movie (who could blame 'em?) Any interviews or info claiming this to be true? Plus what do u think? P.S:- Them missing out on "purple rain" was proberly the main reason y they agreed to be in "graffiti bridge" as they proberly thought that "GB" was gonna be huge (and judging by the very good "GB" trailer, so did I!)

I think they could care less about not being in "Purple Rain" especially during that era. They had just recently been fired by Prince and by the time "Purple Rain" was released, they were already establishing a name for themselves by producing The SOS Band, Change, and Cherelle. Plus I don't think that anyone expected "Purple Rain" to blow up as big as it did.
Nevertheless, being fired was the best thing that ever happened to them because they ended up being the most successful of the protegees and the only ones still around today. Andy is a four letter word.
