Could someone please post the (guitar) chords of ´How come u dont call me anymore´? Dont even need to draw the tabs...only the names of the chords are already fine.

Hi,

I worked on the tune a while ago, both on guitar and keys. Since the chords are typical piano chords, try to find some nice sounding voicings on the guitar.

Prince plays the tune in Db, but I've written it in C (I guess the key in which Alicia Keys plays it). So if you want to play along with Prince, transpose the whole shit half a tone up (or tune your guitar half a step up!!)


Here are my suggestions ( * means bar line)


First part:

*C(no third) Ab6 Ab+ * F F/G(=G79sus) * repeat


suggested voicings (third position):
Ab6: Ab, F, C, F
Ab+: Ab, F, C, E (don't know the exact name)


Second part (bridge):

* F * C/E *
* F/D F/E F F#dim * F/G *


Third part (second bridge):

* F * Abdim *
* Am Am7 * D(7) *

* F/D F/E F F#dim * F/G *




BTW, C/E means C-chord over E-bass etc.
