God is Alive is a Prince Classic...2 bad goodn't make Lovesexy (Lovesexy should have been released later)...instead of say Dance On..(the only weak track on that album)....
Question....is it a coincendence that in Glam Slam Prince sings: this thing we.. Got (d?) is Alive....???? I never thought so...what do u all think? | |

One of my favs of all time from Prince too. A fantastic guitar solo and Mavis' classic vocals...WOOH.

Mavis' voice is just incredible.....love it! Overproduction, though, and that's something we could have done without. But yes, "God is Alive" is among the classic outtakes. | |
