prince songs or albums that are not meant to be taken seriously

some prince fans seem to have had a humour bypass...i have seen many comments on how songs like "the wedding feast" lol ruin the album or albums like "new power soul" are nowhere near as good as his best albums eek .
...
...is it just me or are some people missing the point???..."the wedding feast is just a light hearted interlude in the middle of a quite serious prince album...that is all it is!...a joke song!!...he even laughs himself at the end of it.
...
...as far as the "new power soul" album is concerned, does anyone really believe that prince took this album seriously?...as far as prince was concerned...this was a party album, he had a laugh making it, most of the songs were knockoffs but because it wasnt a "real"[u] album to him....he released it as a npg album.

I don't even consider "Wedding Feast" a song. I consider it a segue.

Just about every track on "Exodus" that isn't a full song. I also thought "Dead On It" was meant as a joke. And obviously "Movie Star".

Well, parts of "Dead on it" are definitely tongue-in-cheek.
