That's my point, Prince doesn't play sax. Coltrane plays it much better, and he's taller.

You have to know the movie "The Big Lebowski" to understand, but obviously you`re not a golfer. lol lol lol

I am a golfer actually, but I've never seen that movie. Is it about that fat American golfer who used to drive a long way?

I know who Tony Williams is. Good drummer, much better than Prince and almost certainly taller.

You're all missing the point. Music is something that needs to be shared, enjoyed with a group of friends with a similar knowledge of good music and good taste in music. The voice over is horrible and ruins the whole album for me. I think it maybe also puts the musicians off their playing, I don't know. All I know is, Musicology doesn't have a voice over and my friends think it's cool so you do the math.

WRONG! Sure, music is cool to share with friends and have a good time, Musicology is a fine example of that. However having a "good time" is not music's only purpose. The Rainbow Children is his most private album, meaning it's the kind of album you put on when you're all alone on a rainy night. Listen to it privately, process it in your mind and let it take you to a higher place spiritually. I'm not a Jehovah's Witness or a religious person (I just try to do what I feel is right), but Prince's music for me has always had an element of spirituality to it. It makes you question your own conciousness... anyway, it's hard to explain. Do you think when Miles put out In A Silent Way it was intended to be music that everyone can have a "good time" to? Anyway, The Rainbow Children is one of his greatest achievements that proves to me that he is a musical genius.

when it comes to prince, i don't have to have cool friends, all i need is him. And if you let your friends define your music and let them tell u what is cool and what is not, then U are not COOL.... do u let ur friends pick out ur clothes 2?
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It depends on where you`re coming from. First of all, the album "Dirty Mind" is driven by real drums, real bass, and real yamaha electric piano amd real fender tele...you name it. You`re so wrong on that one. And Prince does not know what you like. Maybe he even does know, but he doesn`t care, what about that my friend?

Prince is trying to make jazz music, but this is nowhere near as good as the greats like Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Oscar Peterson and Archie Shepp.

I can actually hear in his playing that he thinks he's playing hard-bop. Coltrane would kill Prince on the saxophone.

Does Prince play the Saxophone? And are we talking about the Olympic Games here? Is music all about virtuosity?

I'm off to listen to bootlegs with my friends.

That`s cool. I love my boots, dude. And i play the music i like for my friends, and they do the same with me. It`s not just about pleasing someone else, it`s about showing who you are, how you feel, what you like. You ain`t got no balls.

I listened to TRC a few times and absolutely hated it. After a while, I went back to check it out, and now I think it's his best album in many years.
The lyrics are sometimes too far out there, but musically I thinks his best album in at least 10 years.

It's really funny.

When TRC first comes out, everyone is jerking off all over it. But as time goes by, more and more negative reviews begin to surface.

For your information I never let my friends pick my clothes. I usually go shopping with my parents and I choose what I want, AND I don't have to pay for them.

What's wrong with wanting cool friends? My friends know a lot about music and some of them can play instruments.

So, yeah Faux. If you do not understand TRC's goal you are a NITWIT!

Prince obviously tries to save our nasty lil' souls by showing us the way to THE TRUTH. As you know, words written by trippin' religionistas 2000 years ago are QUITE the rave lately.

The deeper meaning of TRC is hidden and you need to SEARCH for it. It is also REAL JAZZ! Forget that lame Miles Davis! That jazz is dead, Prince said so! We need the new jazz! That smooth Najee jazz with some fonky bass throughout! SPiked with fusion cuz old fashioned jazz is way too lame for Prince.

PRINCE IS DA MAN!
WOOEY TO PRINCE!
