hey, use your ear, most of the chords are very simple in Prince's music. Take me with you is simple. I read music and have the book but I don't have it with me so I can't tell you which chords they are. As a keyboardist, I would encourage you to use your ear if possible. Major or Minor, keep trying until you find the right ones.

Straight out of my head I was wondering, too ... tried to figure 'em out over and over again ... piano, guitar ... just don't get it. "Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies -

I have the PVG for "Take Me With U" and it reads as follows:
and repeat ... I was only going to give you the basic chord progression, but then got carried away transcribing! Enjoy! BTW, the way you guys on hear talk to other musicians, you'd think you could all play by ear as well as Prince. Some of us mortals need a chord chart or a piano solo every now and then! PorterUk. I am envious of you that you can play by ear. Myself, I am no good at picking up basic chords and then progressing from there. I'd love to be able to hear a chord and say "A flat minor 7" and be playing along within seconds!! Good for you! Just have a little patience with the musicians like myself ... PorterUk. Don't be envious, you can do it, I didn't think I could do it so I learned how to read. Both are useful. Do what you can. Experiment. Create. I use my ear primarily now because sheet music has many shortcomings. Most pop/rock musicians use their ear, I can't say that reading is useful though and I know how it is not to be able to get a chord. Just try to get close to it, that is what Jazz people would call "Interpretive". Just have a little patience with the musicians like myself ... PorterUk.
