Why Was Prince's Character Christopher Wearing A wedding Ring In UTCM?

Anybody Know? Prince wasn't Married nor Christopher. Who was Prince involved with? Susanna was gone... Who was he dating in 86?

It was his cock ring. He wore really tight pants in the movie so he had to remove it. Luckily it fit his finger perfectly.

I always thought that the Christopher character wore a ring to put at ease the minds of the women he was fooling around with... kind of like "oh, he's married. he's not after my money, just a good time."

just the character, not Prince...

my two cents.. smile

i remember when the movie came out, i asked my mom the same question and she said something like "it's a thing gigolos do to confuse rich women".

i have no idea what the hell that meant or how the hell she'd know what gigolos do. lol

The film was mostly shot in 1985, although there was some additional shooting in France in April 1986, after which the relationship with Susannah Melvoinsee ended (although Prince is believed to have been dating several other women before the separation).

It was on the wrong hand.

I also wonder why Christopher wore a wedding ring, but it's not gonna keep me up at night or anything.

Surely, if it was on the wrong hand then that means it is not a wedding ring.... Its just a ring.

What is the difference between a right hand ring and a left hand ring. Surely the symetry of a perfect circle makes it a somewhat ambidextrous item and thus very versatile.

I still dont understand why people see a ring on his right hand and start asking about him being married. And now he is starting trends? Why cant it be as simple as a guy wearing a piece of jewelry on his right hand?

Now... maybe someone from France can correct me if I'm wrong, but you know how in Europe everything is opposite? They drive on the left side of the road, use the metric system... stuff like that. Now I've never been overseas, but I assumed since Mary Sharon pointed it out as a wedding ring and it was on his right hand... that's just the hand they wear a wedding ring on in France.

Anyone from France? How far off base am I?

Only the British drive on the left in Europe and we wear a wedding ring on our left hand. They also wear it on their left hand in France. In France they drive on the right but DO use the metric system. Although we drive on the left in the UK, we are only marginally inducted into the metric hall of fame. We still use miles and yards and our beer would never be accepted in anything other than a measured pint. We buy our reefa in ounces or part ounces, ie an eighth or a quarter etc.... But we do have to sell our bananas in kilos... In the UK we speak English, the only native English speaking country in Europe apart from the Republic of Ireland, however the Swedes, Norwegans, Danes and Dutch speak it very well. The Germans, French and Italians dont. But they all have the Euro, in the UK we have the Pound (£).

Then I have absolutely no idea, why he is wearing it on his right hand. Blows my theory.

Thanks for all the info.

Becuase it's mentioned right in the movie that he's wearing a wedding ring. I think Mary said it.

not necessarily... there can be two points taken from this, she said, "I happen to go out with people my own age, special people. And they don't wear wedding rings either."

point 1 taken- he flashes his ring on the right hand, signifying that maybe he is trying to deceive the french by telling them that he is married. (Hello- maybe Prince doesn't know his left from his right lol )

point 2 taken- the people he goes out with. Wedding rings? I mean, he is just the "handy-man" for desperate housewives... but Mrs. Wellington was also divorced. The people that Christopher Tracey maybe dated in the past wore wedding rings.

Now here's my question- Who was that lady, you know the weird one, yelling at Christopher "You know, I miss you..". She scared me... weirdo.
