Also she had some issue of mismanagement with her record label (Motown) catering to I forget who, and Teena felt she wasn't getting the effort the record label should give to her projects considering she was producing hits for them. For speaking out and attempting to get out of her contract, she was black balled also. And she is also having a career revival. Yup, I think Teena is a much better choice than Aliayah. Joni Mitchell is not like Prince imagewise, but she is like him as an artist. She plays many instruments, has done many styles of music, is well rounded as an artist (good lyrics, melodies, music, performance, good bands, a visual artist, great harmonies), has a diverse fanbase, mainstream, yet too individual to be give the respect she deserves by the media. omg can we please have one damn thread without the old tit being mentioned?
