Let's hope this poll will actually influence the programme makers and they'll get him on the show. It would be best though if they gave him the whole hour, like they did with Paul Weller and REM, rather than 3 songs.
And with the talk earlier this year of him being on Parkinson as well - he'd better get here quick because both programmes are currently running. We ain't from Hollywood, so you know it's all good

So, the poll is closed and while we wait to find out IF it was just a speculative poll or whether it is an indication that he has been approached to appear, how about some wild speculation on who else would be on the show?
I've started a thread here... http://www.prince.org/msg/7/119341 ~ - ~ ~ - ~ ~ - ~ ~ - ~ Peace, Love and Positivity ~ - ~ ~ - ~ ~ - ~ Tell me, who in the House know about the Quake.com

Ah Jools Holland...Big head, no reason!!!!
Can you imagine the egos if they both appeared in the same studio together...but at least Prince has a reason to be a diva. Jools Holland is so egotistical that he refused to rejoin with Squeeze for a one off gig because he thought he was better than that - he let the rest of his friends down just to be a cock [Edited 10/21/04 10:54am]

I'll be honest, I wouldn't really want to see Prince appear on a talk show (and certainly none of these). I just want him to come over here and play some damn music!!!!

Just another way for you to slag off this country..role on when those damn pills kick in!! Prince would work fine on Jools Holland, one of the only shows that caters for people who play REAL music these days. Your constant slagging of the UK is getting pretty stale..just move on or ship out lady

ENOUGH SAID!! so long as the interview is better than the 1 mel b did, i will be happy, god I was in despair, what a waste of 'however' many minutes it was, with the crap interview she gave, I was gutted..I do think Jools Holland is the place for him to be... I'll be honest, I wouldn't really want to see Prince appear on a talk show (and certainly none of these). I just want him to come over here and play some damn music!!!!

Parkinson would be fine, if Prince wanted to promote in the UK it would be a fantastic opportunity. No need for an interview, just do the music between the other guests and close the show. It might make many people who are not Prince fans sit up and take notice.
Jools would be fine too, but not as much exposure.

Jools would be fine too, but not as much exposure. Problem with Parky is that he wants to talk about his guests life and pscho analyse them... Can you really see Prince giving a 'warts n all' interview? And I doubt Parky would accept that his questions must be vetted before hand and told what he cant ask... Its a crap show anyway... if P wants to promote over here then he's better off just playing the music... get on all the music shows, not just Jools... TOTP, CD:UK etc etc...

I completely agree.....apart from the mention of TOTP's and CD:UK, but then again, maybe it HAS to be done Shit why can't there still be more 'cool' music progs like The White Room, The Tube and The Word?! ..... I'd love to see him go on Later.... I'd also love to see him on Jonathan Ross, just to see Prince's reaction when Jonathan inevitably takes the piss out of him .

Point is, he doesn't have to talk to Parky - i've seen 'musical guests' on there before. Sure, the music shows are fine, but IF Prince wanted to promote himself overhere a show like Parky is watched by different folks than watch TOTP - and people over 40 now buy more CDs than those under 40.
IF Prince wanted to be even richer and even more famous he could do so by exposing himself (no pun intended! - but it worked for George Michael) to a wider cross section of the public. He should be beyond TOTP now, i bet someone like Elton John could tell Parky I want 15 mins for three songs, no chat etc.. ITV would promote it like hell and draw in a few million more punters and Elton would sell a shed load of CDs. Prince should be able to do the same, but for whatever reason I don't think he could at present.

I hope Prince doesn't appear on Parky. Parky is a prat.... Anyone who saw the Woody Allen interview will know....
But if Prince did Joolz that would be great.... ------------------------------
