Hey, I want to go as Prince 4 halloween. Does anyone know where I can get a Prince styled suit? Or does anyone have any good high resolution pics of him, like from 1999, When Doves Cry, Lets Go Crazy, or Purple Rain so I can try to make one? I also have trouble finding the correct tabs and solos for some of his songs, does anyone out there have Lets Go Crazy, Purple Rain, I would Die 4 U, or Baby I'm a Star?

i did this once before. I could only find a 1999 outfit from a fancy dress show. However, it was pretty tacky dont expect to find anything like the real thing!

go 2 a second hand store or value village...you're bound 2 find an old purple trench u can spruce up LOL

Why not go as the dirty mind era. That'll be easy - just wear your underwear!

I still have my purple trenchcoat from 85.
Just a cheap one from goodwill dyed purple in my mothers washer. Leather pants and a fluffy shirt from goodwill and everyone knew who I was.

Why not do Prince 2004?
You'll only need a suit with an uneven hem, a guitar, and a Watchtower!
You could also make your own upper ear clip!

When he turned up it was simply a Pirates outfit without the hat or eye patch...he had been duped by a fancy dress sales person and not even realised. He thought the anchors were Prince Symbols and how he missed teh cardboard buckles over ladies high-heel shoes I will never know. I suppose it did look a bit Purple Rain...but more Captain Pugwash.

I am going as Prince on halloween,i cant do the dirty mind era either since im a girl. I tried 2 get my friends 2 go as the members of The Revolution but they wont, my friend said she'll go as Carmen Electra.

Could someone please actually help me, halloween isn't too far away. I want to get something like he wore when he sang "The Beautiful Ones" in the Purple Rain. Could someone help me find some White semi-see through lace gloves and those chains with hoops dangling off them he wore around his shoulder? Or maybe even those boots he always wears that are really high. Any sugestions for where I can get that kind of suit? Or even the rufflely poet shirt he wears. Any thing at all would be great. Also does anyone know what that tight band he wears above his pants is called. Thanks

I did that!!! Back in high school for a halloween party I had a simple half-purple/half-black "suit" made up and did the face-makeup & green hair and all. It was probably cheesy as hell, but my friends thought it was great!!!

I just took my kids shopping for their halloween costumes and they're (mostly) all doing a pirate theme. I'm considering getting a "Captain Hook" getup since I'll be walking them through the neighborhood this year.

Hey guys I'm going as Mayte for Halloween and I need some help. I want to be creative and make an outfit meaning I don't simply want to go out and buy a bellydancing costume. I was thinking of Gold hotpants and a simple black top with the sleeves that bell out with a big print prince symbol in gold on the front. Also, I want the exact logo for NPG on the back. I was wondering if anyone has a sketch of the symbol and the NPG logo so I can print it out and give it to someone who can make that print on a shirt. I'm going to wear black combat boots, get a black wig with bangs and a big fuzzy purple hat that I see in every Halloween store I go to. I'm also going to have smokey eye makeup with purple shadow and red lipstick (you know how red lipstick was the trademark of the 90's) What do you guys think? Should I add or delete anything? It would be great to find goldish/purplish hot pants but that's impossible. Please if anyone has the sketching of the symbol and NPG so that I can print it out and it will fit on the entire paper I would appreciate it ever so much!!!

Wow. Glad to see I'm not the only one looking to be the Purple One for Halloween. I'm not even going to attempt looking for one, so I'll probably just make one out of a few things lying around the house or from a thrift store. I would go with the Diry Mind look, but I got a cold.

Controversy's one that's crossed my mind, so I think I'll go with that if I can find a pink jacket...
