Crazy You and Baby

I was listening to For You on the way to work this morning and 2 songs struck me as worth a re-listen and comparison with later Prince songs.

Crazy You sounded very similar to the acoustic guitar driven songs on The Truth. It even has some sound effects like running water and then a dripping tap. I don't know, it just reminded me a lot of The Truth type stuff. Of course it is quite short and only appears to have one verse and chorus. I think someone should write a second verse! wink

The other track was Baby which has a part in it very similar to I Hate U from The Gold Experience. I don't know what the musical terminology is but it's that bit that has keyboard chords played three times for emphasis. I think it comes after he says (in I Hate U) "but u can plead the 5th" dah. dah. dah! (how's that for a rendition in text?)

Hmmm.... just some idle Monday morning musings. It's cool how you can listen to Prince and notice something new each time. Any other thoughts?
Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.
