Prince will never come close to the creative high he was on
while coming up with the Purple Rain material.
Those in the know,and who were around him at that time will tell you the same thing.Controversy was cool,like finger-painting.Purple Rain was oil on canvas indeed.Did you know that Baby,I'm A Star was 1st recorded during the controvrsy sessions!Too ahead of it's time for that album.told ya...

As an "old school" person I can tell you that some people were having a hissy fit because of the lords prayer during Controversy. Some radio stations would edit it out.
