Every1 has a hand in making "Prince collections"

What was the worst one you made or just didnt fit in and / or was just all out of order?

how about the one i made 2months ago i made a major mistake and i thought it was good it was pure s**t

i make lots of them, so there are probably a lot of crappy ones sitting on the 10 or so spindles i have of discarded CDR projects.

i'd really have to think about it.... but i'd probably have to say making "in-between" albums was the hardest when i was trying to include absolutely EVERYTHING... including multiple versions of the same song/outtake. the 85/86 stuff is great, but really suffers if you don't distill it all down to 1 great disc, and have 2 bloated incomprehensible messes.

I made one cutting out most of the talking on "The Rainbow Children". Most of the Bob George/Darth Vader voice, the begining of "Family Name", etc. I thought it'd be great, but it wrecked the flow and cohesiveness.

It's hard to make a good Prince mix cd. I don't think I've ever put together a good one.

I made a "Worst of CD" once and it was awful.

That's what I'm doing... I call it Prince: 10 years, 12 inches (although it includes the 7" b-sides, as well), and it goes from '79-'88. Trouble is, I just can't find an mp3 of the extended version of Escape!!!!!

just a mix i threw together on my cleaning day.

then i have a Prince rock cdr and a Prince rap cdr. i want to have ones for each style he does.

i am a recording engineer,translation:i have lots 'o time on my hands during the day...anyhoo,in this downtime i sometimes like to compile different prince
cd's.
being a recording engineer,i have access to all the latest and most sophisticated recording/mastering gear.this is what i use to make my cd's.
i can do crossfades,tempo-shifts(if the boot was dubbed at a wrong speed),
pretty much anything you can think of.these tools come in handy when trying to
replicate different sequences of songs such as the "crystal ball" 3 lp set
from 1987.i made myself a killer version of that,just how prince invisioned
the album.i also take obscure tracks and compile them by recording date
to make my own little "fantasy records",in other words,songs that didn't make the final cut,i take these songs and put them together on a cd,it's almost like
having a sequel,so to speak,to the original album.
my best work yet was "camille".he should have released it....

I put 2gether Prince's Linn Drum effect songs a long time ago...i never listen 2 it.... L

Otherwise they have been all good.

I did a mix that included the 7th track from each of his released albums. I thought it might sound nice and be interesting. It didn't. I also tried to make a collection of songs in which the lyrics of one song mentioned the title of the next song. I got bored midway through the project...
