so i got the dvd yesterday and i like it. it's definately funny and there are some really interesting camera angles and there is some homage to films like Casablanca. Prince is very funny in his role and you can see that he was really into it. the only drawback is that somewhere along the line it loses the humour somewhat and the story kinda drags.
did you see the raging hard-on that Prince was sportin' when he took Mary out for a dance on the balcony? cue it to the first few frames of the dance. hahah the dude was packin'!

now as for Grafitti Bridge.....

It's one of the few movies that make me laugh EVERY-TIME I see it...

i aw it yesterday for the first time, and i thought it is quite weird..i really loved the lighting and the settings, but its a terrible movie in a way..
and prince talks like a dork..

can anybody tell me, when the girl is sitting on her bed with her (?) MC-Player and Phone, both with those neonlights, what track is playing? Something with a womans voice singing in it...

I was pleasantly surprised too and, like you, I felt the last half hour or so was a let down.

p.s I think Graffiti Bridge is the worst movie I have ever seen and I'm not kidding.

UTCM is not bad at all. I actually quite liked it. I liked it before I liked Prince!

(My brother-in-law is a huge Prince fan, and when I was pretty young, 12 or 13, I watched the movie at his place.)

UTCM...My FAVORITE Prince movie!! LOVE IT!!

no, Graffiti Bridge should be called "not that bad", but Under the Cherry Moon is in my opinion VERY GOOD!

I loved UTCM.

When i got the DVD i watched it 2 times in 2 days.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE UTCM. When it first came out I dragged everyone I possibly could to go see it! It is such a good movie.
And everytime I watch it, I pray that Christopher is going to show up in Miami and surprise Trickey!
Graffiti Bridge on the other hand was a major let down.
I also went to go see this when if first came out. I had really high hopes because it was the "sequel" to Purple Rain.
IMO it is without a doubt one of the worst movies EVER! I only keep watching it becuase I love the music and I love Prince's look in this movie. (Don't ask me why! I just like it.)

I loved UTCM as well. In fact, I love ALL of Prince's movies. Even that piece of dog turd called "Graffiti Bridge".
