Old friends for sale...'86 version better than the vault version? I had this bootleg called 'Charade" with a different version of "old Friends.."
on it,than there is on "the vault" The old version is much, much better...At least I think so,and I can't think of a reason why Prince put the other version on the vault!! | |

The old version is alot more personal and alot better song imo.But his life must have been in a bad place when he wrote this its a very heart felt song.truly one of his best | |

Okay, what are we 6 years old. Chill out with this stupid namecalling and arguing. Who knows, Prince is probably laughing his head off because we all have the dates wrong, including authorized publications. Who the f*(& cares.
Yes, I love the original. It is one of my favorite Prince songs. It is one of the songs I'd request if it were just him, his piano and me.
