You can get the Hits collection at just about any online retailer in DVD or VHS format. Just a few things:

The video selection is lame, doesn't come anywhere near even covering his most essential hits, and is usually a little pricy. I bought my DVD for about $30. For 60 minutes of videos in 2.0 stereo that's not really a good deal.

Video collections officially available:

The Hits
3 Chains O Gold
Gett Off
Diamonds and Pearls

The Hits has a bunch of edited videos on it and has only the most essential of videos. There's tons more out there that are either better or more deserving to be on the set. (No clue as to why both Dirty Mind and Uptown are on the DVD considering they're the same exact video but a different song.)

3 Chains O Gold is interesting, actually. I liked it a lot.

Gett Off is just a few videos of the song and remixes. Decent.

Diamonds and Pearls has a bunch of videos and some other neat footage.

Forget the official releases -- go to EBay and look around for the bootlegs. There are boot DVD compilations such as "The Warner Bros. Promo Reels" with every video he's ever done while at WB.

The quality might suck, though. B careful of ordering that crap on eBay.

Yeah what's out there is pretty lame. If you go for released...

I’d try ebay to get what’s out there officially, as you can get it at a decent price. Officially, the only thing that is DVD is the WB videos. They are worth having, if only to have them (there isn’t much else out there) and they are good quality. My problem with this set, is the lack of videos…17 is a really small number and many important videos are missing like When Doves Cry.

If you want the collection…here it is

Video Collection

Songs Include: Peach, Uptown, 1999, Alphabet St., Sign 'O' The Times, Diamonds & Pearls, Controversy, Dirty Mind, I Wanna Be Your Lover, Little Red Corvette, I Would Die 4 U, Raspberry Beret, Kiss, Cream, 7

Diamonds and Pearls Video - Gett Off," "Cream," "Diamonds and Pearls," "Insatiable," and "Money Don't Matter 2 Night." "Thunder," "Daddy Pop," "Jughead" and "Live 4 Love," extended versions of "Cream" and "Diamonds and Pearls."

3 Chain o”gold – Not certain of the listing…is more of a movie sort of. And includes most selections from the symbol album.

Sexy MF video – Various Sexy MF videos or is it one?

Gett Off Video – Various Gett Off Videos

Those will get you some videos…there is nothing officially released after the hits collection. I think there’s a few other ones out there…maybe Beautiful Experience…but that’s not all videos. Also if you pick up the new DVD’s for Purple Rain, UTCM and GB…you get all of the P and associated artists videos associated to these movies…When Doves Cry, Purple Rain, Take Me with You, Baby I’m a star/I would die 4 U, Jungle Love, The Bird, Sex Shooter, Mountains, Anotherlover, Girls and Boys, Kiss, Question of U, Thieves in the temple, Round and Round..I may have missed one or two.

Now there are DVD boots…one is the WB promo reels…again I don’t think there is anything on here that was released after ’92. While slightly comprehensive…it’s missing America, Paisley Park and I wish U heaven and a few others. Unsure of the quality.

There is also Royal Visions bootleg…a 7 disc DVD set out there that pretty much covers it all…except for stuff from this year. It’s pretty sprawling and most of it in excellent quality. It includes all of the official stuff and the rest..including remix videos (Batman) and some strange stuff like If I was your Girlfriend…which looks like it was made by a fan…pretty unwatchable. The tracking for them is also crummy…but hey you get all the videos.

And as far as I know…there are NO associated artist video collections out there.
