Holy moly!

I really did expect to see Purple Rain go last round smile

I vote Purple Rain hammer in an effort to save 1999 because ever since day one it was obvious SOTT was gonna be the winner, but I wanna see 1999 take it's rightful place on the throne! woot!

I so did not expect Parade to go...either. comfort PR shoulda gone a long time ago IMO

I vote Purple Rain.

1999. I can't imagine not having Purple Rain and basically Sign '0' The Times should win.

I gotta bid Purple Rain farewell on this one. 1999 vs. Sign 'O' The Times seems to be a little more deserving...

Sign "0"The Times I like it, but it is so damn overrated. I am sure it will win, there is no question. However, I vote for it to get the hell out.

Technically.

The dated disc sounds so 20 years ago. And that ain't always a good thing.

There are some good songs, but, unless you're living in your parent's basement and, at the same time, living in the past, you'd quickly realize how horribly 80s 1999 sounds (despite its super "futuristic" title). Like I said, it has some great numbers, but they've had their day. Purple Rain, a far less dated album, does have its 80's moments, but it's far more consistent and has considerably better songs that hold up a hell of a lot better than most of the stuff on 1999.

Our taste in Prince's music, Starbuck, is eerily similar.
