What's your favorite Prince CD to get DRUNK 2?  When you're out clubbin' or at home tappin' on the keys and you're in the mood for a little irresponsible inebriation (why does this sound like the intro. to a KISS song?) what Prince CD do you like to listen to? Why?
I'd have to say The Gold Experience, if I'm in the partyin' mood  . Purple Rain if I'm sloshed, just cuz the title song takes on so much more importance  . For the hangover? Anything other than Xpectation or N.E.W.S. -- they both make me puke.

If I'm drinking alone, it's probably "1999".
If I'm drinking with a group of people, I don't usually play songs by only one artist because no one else wants to hear them except for me. I've have been known to throw the 12 Inch of "Let's Work" in the mix a many a night though. That one gets everybody's ass to shakin'. If I'm getting drunk with a group of friends that are also Prince fans, I still don't like to play one album all the way through, I like to mix them up such as "Controversy", "Erotic City", "Let's Work", "Head (My Aunt Esther Mix)", "Irresistable Bitch", "I Wanna Be Your Lover", "Soft and Wet", "Private Joy/Orgasm", etc. I have these on a beat mixed CD I like to sling in so I can mingle. I have another CD I made for when I have one on one company or even two, three, or four on one company. It contains slow jams like "Do Me Baby", "International Lover", "Scandalous", "Insatiable", "Adore", "When 2 R In Love", etc. in a continuous sequence. Many a filthy night has occured from this CD. I'd have to say the Gold Experience, for no other reason but for no particular reason except a friend of mine is a poser who pretends to like Prince to make me feel good, and only owns this album and VBOP. When I used to go to parties at her place she would always play the Gold Experience to please me, so by ritual I enjoy getting drunk to it.  "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Sounds like me with Insane Clown Posse. I can't stand their "music", but it's played so often at parties I'm at, it's like a ritual of some kind to get sloshed to an ICP CD. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!" | |

Why? Not 2 press u, but that seems like a really strange choice. I never listen to that one alone, if I'm "tipsy." I would have 2 say that 'Sign O The Times' the whole album does it for me. There are many stages on the road to drunkeness; the happy stage 'Play In The Sunshine', 'U Got The Look', 'Housequake', 'It's Gonna B A Beautiful Nite'. Then the horny stage 'If I Was Your Girlfriend', 'U Got The Look', 'It' and 'Hot Thing'. Then comes nostalgia trip 'Never Take The Place Of Your Man', 'Starfish & Coffee' & 'Strange Relationship'. Then we end up in tears with 'Adore'. So 4 the whole drinking experience u could try listening to the whole album like I do... Be Joyful | |
