the way the US charts is quite confusing so is there any way to tell yet if sales of the album, or even airplay of the song is increasing at all? it would be interesting to see if hits on the nmpgmc have increased too! ah well


i checked hits daily double and its not in the top 50, but i think the charts are a week behind so its for last week before all this started properly? either way it means sales are less than 25k! not a surprise!

There's no way it's going to go from #150 to Top 50 in one week, especially based only on a few news stories. The news stories are about the video, and not the song, so people probably won't run out and buy the album because of them. The stories will prompt video channels to play the video, however, and exposure on MTV, VH-1, etc etc will hopefully bump the album. I'd look for the bump in the next 2-3 weeks, not in this week's chart numbers...

oh yeah definately, i put in a little not surprised as i didnt expect them to increase too much. it would be nice to see it stay in the 7k region at least though. just wondered if anyone had figures
