Sure let's do that - and I don't forget...I loved him then and I get a huge kick from revisiting that material now.

But I do get tired of those that dis the man for changing. I mean who else in their life is expected to be expressing the same views in the same way 20 years later. I can just imagine the scornful comments that would be made if a 40something P was prancing around in underwear and lace an hadn't grown his material. I think he is doing middle-aged sexy damn well...cool

No artist should be expected to produce the same material year after year. And no mature artist can be expected to be on the same youthful cutting edge he or she was as an emerging artist of the emerging generation of that time. Prince makes music about his life and experiences and his life and experiences are different now.

I realise I am straying from your intent with this comment, but this is also a response to all the other bleating on this site about him not doing things the way he used in the 80s.

That's cool and all but I don't know why people think that you have to become tame once you get older. If you've aged well, and he has, then flaunt it. Look at Tina Turner.

In the future, I will probably be walking around on a walker with wild ass hair and flirting with younger people. lol
