There are three videos I am interested in checking out through amazon.com.

the first is the "3 Chains of Gold" compilation. What do you guys know about this? Give me some details....any good? I heard there's nudity on this video (intrigued!)

What about the Gett Off maxi video or the Sexy MF maxi video? I wanna know which one of these three would be worth buying if any.

Give me whatever details and opinions you guys got!

yes there is nudity in the "3 chains of gold". unfortunately, there is tony m as well. as the saying goes, "the choice is yours..."

Out of the three you mention I have 3 Chains O' Gold and Gett Off. I would go for 3 Chains O' Gold if I had to choose to buy just one.

Reason: Mo' funk fo' yo' buck u can bet on that!

If you love the 'Symbol'CD,this is a must-have.It attempts to tell the complete story of that album,with thrilling, big-budget music videos for most of the songs...."My Name Is Prince","Sexy MF","Love 2 The 9s","The Morning Papers","The Max","Blue Light","Eye Wanna Melt With U","Sweet Baby","The Continental","Damn U"(I think),"7".There are some dramatic scenes betweeen songs,such as Mayte's father getting killed.Also,some videos have been edited (such as "Sexy MF"),but overall,it is an excellent video with a great story.

Thanks for your input guys. I purchased 3 Chains of Gold today. I agree, why focus on one song like the other two compilations, when you can have videos for 7 or 8. Plus female nudity!

Damn, I wish he put out a video like this for Rainbow Children....tells the story, puts the songs in videos....

cool idea.

And of course a compilation of various videos from The Gold Experience would kick ass. Or that Crystal Ball videos set he mentioned one time in the past. So many opportunities...

However, Prince should probably just put out an outtakes set somewhere along the line without much hub-bub and just focus on the future, because it looks bright.

the 'gett off' maxi video is hot! i would definately get that if you have a chance. i haven't seen the 'sexy mf' one.
'3 chain o'gold' is great as well.

i used to have most of the prince videos (gett off, SOTT, lovesexy etc.) but during my 'wilderness years' outside the prince loop, i got rid of them all!!!!
how stupid am i? now i really regret doing that. mainly for the reason i know i'm going to spend money buying them again.

the "Violet the Organ Grinder" video is so great! i *love* that song to begin with and OMG i always need a cold shower after watching the video!!

randomduck - i definitely feel your pain. i did the exact same thing as you, got rid of all my prince videos during the years i was out of the prince loop. i could just cry and kick myself when i think about all the videos and interviews and stuff i'd collected over the years and then either erased over or gave away. i had stuff like the 'UTCM' Premiere Party that MTV did, everytime P was on any awards or music program i'd taped it...EVERYTHING i could possibly tape or get a copy of, i had.

i'm such a dummy.

now i am starting all over again from scratch.

I just received and watched my 3 Chains of Gold video today.... well, it was kinda cool. I don't see myself breaking it out to watch it very much, but it's nice to have. A lot of the videos on it were similar to each other. It tells the story of Mayte much better than the album itself, of course. In the end, I think the only great videos from Prince all came from the Diamonds and Pearls album....

Somebody's Somebody is a pretty cool video, as is some of the Gold era videos....

Anybody seen that video collection of Gold Experience era stuff that they aired on VH-1 several years ago? I'd love to cop that. It was kinda fun to watch. They even had videos for Count the Days and The Good Life.

speaking of gold experience videos...i need some new ones ...the guy i got mine from were funky edits from like VH1 and B.E.T. lol

JT, i just watched that special the other night...Count the Days was cool...Prince had this thing for covering up his face with sheer scarfs back then. I loved Dolphin, forgot how good that song is. His outfit was very cool, masculine, with cool shades....The Love4oneanother VH1 special came on right after that....'Days of Wild' is some funky shit!!

Oh Chris, it was so cool.

It happened in like late 95 or early 96. It was kind of a Prince VH1 special, where Prince and the NPG broke into a VH1 studio where they were currently showing some Madonna video. Prince turned the video off and the next thing I knew they were showing the Dolphin video, and videos for Count the Days and The Good Life amongst other cool stuff.

Uggg! i thought this was recent..lol..man i missed so much... i need to find this stuff on Video
