Great show... Recorded 31/12/87. If you're a Miles fan you may be little dissapointed, because he only plays on "It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night" for about 5 mins.

I have seen good bits. But I think there's lots of "bits" on it. I was expecting just one show...but if memory serves me correctly, there are several things on it...a smattering of stuff.

No. It is just one show, and a good one. Its really funky, almost only Its gonna be beautiful night -jamming. Yeah, Miles-part is disappointingly short, but he is really fun to watch. Suddenly he just appears on the stage, plays for few minutes (goooood playing) walking around the stage like he really doesnt want to be there, and then just leaves. Funny.

DVD is decend quality, quite dark and messy but ok. Not a must have, but nice.

EDIT:
Dont trust my review of the quality, since i think there is better one out now??? Anyone???

This show is pure gold. Prince at the absolute height of his creativity, energy and fame. I love this entire show.

When Miles Davis comes out and starts playing, then Prince starts scatting the notes back to him, it's amazing.

People have short memories.

Whether it was for 5 or 10 minutes is neither here nor there, sparks definitely flew when Prince and Miles were onstage together, watching P stalking every note Miles played like some kind of domesticated panther was just one of the highlights for me. Oh yeah, and the scatting was definitely ace and it still sounds good on audio. Definitely an era-defining moment for P.

And who can forget the awestruck look on Eric and Atlanta's faces? The way they exchanged glances when Miles hit the stage was a delight to see and spoke volumes. Like "this is the highlight of our entire career, playing alongside the one and only Miles Davis"...

OK then, so if it's about making people jealous, I'm watching it on my PC right now smile. Loved the bit with Miles, but also love Sheila's drum solo at the beginning and the piss-take of Terence Trent D'arby towards the end smile
