I don't think it's verifiable that "I Hate U" is about Carmen or that "I Love U..." is about Mayte. He has written several songs about Warner Bros to seem like he's writing about a female relationship gone awry -- these may be more of that. | |

Isn't the whole of Emancipation basically about what was going on for him through the mid-90s with the release from WB and his life with Mayte...
- Emancipation - Big White Mansion - Friend Lover Sister Mother Wife - Holy River - etc etc In fact you could loosely argue that any artist's creative output must by default, be about something they are feeling, experiencing or even just observing in the world i.e. their lives- 'though I know you're looking for specifics so I'll stop meandering now...
