[Canada map was here] Not that I expected him to go up to Nunavut or anything, but what about Ottawa? Vancouver? Montreal? Quebec City? Edmonton? All big cities with sizeable enough fanbases to warrant a show. Dude lives in Canada, (part-time, anyway) he should know that. If there's a town that knows how to get funky, it's Edmonton.

Well, of course the rock and roll hall of fame performance, he blew the roof off that one. and the 3 shows I went to.
The ft lauderdale show because it was the first time I have seen him since the emancipation tour, and hearing pink cashmere, the one, and my all time favorite beautiful ones performed live for the first time ever. Even though I was literally in the tippy-top row of the nosebleeds, I felt so honored just to be there. Finally being able to hear all those songs from Purple Rain live for the first time was a dream come true. Since I was 9 when PR came out and never got a chance to see the tour. Hearing those opening notes to beautiful ones, I cried tears of joy. I can't even begin to describe my feelings at that moment. Bliss. The first Atlanta show because after having last row, getting 3rd row dead center was mind blowing. Never been that close to him in my life, I felt as if I was dreaming. I will never forget the image of him standing right in front of me, in that blue suit holding that purple symbol guitar, belting it out, eyes closed, head back....just the thought makes me dizzy. lol That image is burned into my mind for all eternity. It has been a wonderful year. [Edited 10/10/04 8:47am] If the wind blew all the petals from your precious red rose, would you be afraid of what you'd find inside?...
